Jones Finance Terms of Use
Effective October 17, 2026
1. What Jones Finance is
Jones Finance is a private budgeting app that Brian Jones runs as a personal project for his household in Ontario, Canada. It isn't a business and charges no fees. Only the people Brian allows can sign in: Brian and his partner.
2. Using the app
You sign in with your Google account and a second step. Keep your sign-in, your authenticator and your backup codes to yourself, and use the app only for your own household's money.
3. Connections you choose
You decide what the app connects to: your bank and card accounts through Plaid, Wise, the accounting and invoicing services you choose, and the files you import. Each connection gives the app only what it needs to show your money. You can disconnect any of them in the app at any time: disconnecting ends the app's access and deletes what it stored from that connection. Your use of those services is also under their own terms.
4. Your information
Your information stays yours. What the app collects, how it's used and protected, how long it's kept and how to have it deleted are set out in the privacy policy.
5. Figures, not advice
The app shows your own figures and estimates, such as forecasts and tax estimates. It doesn't give financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and its estimates can be wrong. Check anything important with a qualified professional.
6. No warranty
The app is provided as is, without any warranty. It may change, be unavailable or stop. As far as Ontario law allows, Brian isn't liable for any loss from using the app or relying on it.
7. Changes and contact
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Questions: Brian Jones, bvjones03@gmail.com. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
